Factory Records / Hacienda head-honco, Tony Wilson passed away at the age of 57 this evening after a prolonged battle with cancer. Beyond influential, his work at Factory laid the foundation of the very scene and sound that so many today still shamelessly crib from for their indie hits.
Pull out a Joy Division, Durutti Column, New Order, Happy Mondays, or some other FACT catalog title and pay a little respect.
